- After shampooing with a sulfate-free shampoo, towel dry hair
- Apply generously from mid-lengths to ends
- Leave 5–10 minutes for conditioning, up to 30 minutes for deeper toning
- Rinse thoroughly. The longer you leave it, the cooler the tone
